Ofsted and Performance Data
Julian's had a Section 8 Inspection in June 2023 and continues to be a good school. The Inspectors highlighted:
- "Pupils are proud of their school and are excited to share their learning experiences."
- "Leaders provide an ambitious curriculum, with high expectations for all pupils."
- "Pupils are happy. They enjoy school life and feel safe."
- "Pupils have positive working relationships with staff. They know that if they have any concerns, they can speak to an adult who will listen and support them."
Prior to this, Julian’s was rated as Good with Outstanding Elements by Ofsted during the inspection which took place in November 2017. Here are some key points:
- “Provision for pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding.”
- “The school provides a broad and rich curriculum experience for all pupils. Planning for English and mathematics is thorough and ensures that pupils achieve well.”
- “The very strong links with parents and the community help contribute to the positive relationships between home and school.”
- “The executive headteacher and heads of school work very effectively as a team to lead a coordinated approach to school improvement.”

Performance Data
Julian’s is a high-attaining school, and has achieved excellent results year-on-year. We consistently out-perform the national average in Literacy and Mathematics, as the tables below illustrate.
With our 2022 data thus far, we have achieved well above the national average in Combined Reading, Writing and Maths, each of those subjects individually, plus Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation for Key Stage 2.
