Lunch Arrangements
At Julian’s we encourage and promote healthy eating. All students will now have access to a free school meal, regardless of income. We encourage children to eat our school lunches.
The universal infant free school meal (UIFSM) scheme offers a free school meal to all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
The Mayor of London initiative offers a free school meal to all pupils in Key Stage 2, regardless of income. This is from September 2023 onwards and will continue for academic year 2024-2025. Please let the school office know if your child will now be having a school lunch by emailing schoolmeals@juliansprimary.org.uk.
Hot meals will be provided every day by our new catering company Harrisons. There will be a variety of food for the children, including salads and vegetarian meals. Please see the menu for further information.
If your child has any special dietary requirements, please fill in the form below and return it to the Admin office. We are a nut-free school.

Packed Lunch
Pupils may bring a packed lunch, but we request that they are well balanced. No fizzy drinks, crisps, sweets, chocolate or products containing any nuts are allowed.
In exceptional circumstances, a child may have lunch at home. Please contact the Headteacher should you wish to discuss this further.
Universal Free School Meals
All children in are entitled to a free school meal each day from September 2023.
Fruit
All Foundation and Key Stage 1 children are given a piece of fruit as part of the government’s fruit scheme for schools. Children in Key Stage 2 may bring in a fruit snack to eat at play times.
Children are not allowed to bring sweets, crisps or chocolate to school.
Water
Water fountains are available for the children in the school playground. All children are encouraged to bring their own bottles of water to school. Water is always available at lunchtime.
