We regret to confirm there has been a serious fire at our Streatham site on Leigham Court Road on Friday 22nd August.
The fire started shortly after midnight and was eventually brought under control by the London Fire Brigade. At the height of the response, 10 fire engines, a fire rescue unit, and an aerial appliance were deployed.
The building has suffered significant damage. The fire caused damage to 40% of the roof at the rear of the school and water damage to 50% of the whole building primarily due to sprinkler activation
The entire Streatham site is unusable for health and safety reasons due to the damage.
Unfortunately, this means that the site will be closed for the week beginning Monday 1st September at a minimum. The Streatham children will therefore not be able to return to school as scheduled, on Wednesday 3rd September.
We are working together with Lambeth on alternative plans as a matter of urgency. We will update you in due course.
