Homework and high frequency words will be given out every Friday. Please hand the homework in on Wednesday.

Your child will be given two reading books to have for the week, please return them the following week on the day they were given out as that will be your child’s reading day

For homework we would like you to talk to a grown up, look in a book or even look on the Internet to find out about an animal that lives under the sea.

You can draw a picture of the animal and write a fact about it.

High Frequency Words (HFW) / Tricky words:

Now that your child has received all their common words / HFWs in their blue books we would like you to continue practising the words at home.

You could support your child by asking them to find the words in their reading books and the stories you share together. Practise the words on the poster as often as you can; children will learn the common words quickly if they read them frequently, and this will have a big impact on their reading.
