Please Please The Bees
After half term we are going to read the story “Please Please The Bees” by Gerald Kelley. We will be finding out all about bees and the amazing things that they do like making us yummy honey!
In Literacy we are learning about rhyming strings and will be making our own rhymes. We will also be trying to work on our Golden Sentences, using capital letters, finger spaces, full stops and “wow” words.
In Maths we are going to work on our weighing skills and the language involved with weighing. We will also be using Makaton to help us describe the different things we are weighing.
As a part of our Understanding of the World learning, we are going to learn about the different parts of a plant / flower. The children will be making their own flowers on the creative table using straws, tissue paper and golden glitter (pollen).
