Year 6 Homework 29.09.16 All Homework due in on Wednesday
This term we are learning to recall facts linked to number bonds. You will find a sheet with fun ideas to help you to practice these number bonds in addition to the activities included in your homework pack.
This week we have been working on number. For homework this week, please complete the highlighted section for negative numbers.
Don’t forget if you find a section too hard; try a mix of questions from each section. You can also challenge yourself by completing another section!
Remember to try to read every night for at least 30 minutes!
Complete the writing task in your Reading Journals. Try to include some of your spelling words as extra practice!
This week’s spelling words are some tricky words. Be careful when practicing them.
sought, suite, symbol, thoughtfully, throughout, cupboard, designed, destructive, disease, emergency.
Make sure you use look, cover, write, check and write each spelling in a full sentence. This will help you to learn how to spell the words within a context. If you are not sure about the meaning of a word, look in a dictionary, or ask an adult to explain. You will be tested on them during Guided Reading next week.
Grammar: Complete the sheet on main and subordinate clauses.
Remember to ask your teacher if you are having any trouble before the homework is due.
Have an amazing weekend!
Erin, Ross and Gemma.
