1R has had a fantastic week this week!
In phonics we have been practicing our split diagraphs a-e (cake, make, take) e-e (these, delete, even) i-e (nice, smile, time) o-e (phone, vote, home) u-e (huge, June, cute)
In English we have been changing the story of Anancy and Mr Dry Bones. The writing produced was fabulous and all the children have been working extreamly hard to make sure their capital letters and full stops are in the right place.
In Maths we have been looking at length and mesurement. We have been learning the related vocabulary (taller than, shorter than, longer, shorter, measure, compare), how to measure accurately and about standard measures (cm/M).
On Tuesday we had a lovely visit from the Little Angel Theatre Workshop, the children worked hard to create beautiful puppets and they look fantastic. I have created a gallary of some photos from that day in the glass gallary. We will be creating stories and performances using our puppets - watch this space!
On Thursday it was world book day and we enjoyed seeing everyones costumes and reading our lovely stories from home. We had a great day reading!
