School Direct Programme

School Direct Programme

Julian's Primary School has been involved with School Direct since the early planning stages in 2011. We work as part of the Dunraven School Sharing Excellence Partnership to deliver high quality teacher training. Our training provider is Roehampton University.

This year, 2019/2020, we have three school direct trainees working across both sites from Year One to Year Five. Trainee teachers are placed with our experienced teachers and receive excellent support and mentoring from Deputy Heads of School.

We have taken a full and active role in designing a training programme which draws on the talents of teachers at Julian's Primary School. We have invested heavily in School Direct and we are confident of providing a high quality, well supported programme for existing and prospective students.

We have a number of trained mentors who work together to ensure excellent professional and pastoral support for our students. To date, we have recruited all of our school direct trainees and many of our substantive teachers have come through this route; as an expanding school, the School Direct programme has enabled us to nurture our own teachers and leaders of the future.

If you would like to find out more about training to be a teacher with us, please visit the Sharing Excellence Partnership website using the link below

Applications open in October through UCAS and the first round of interviews will be held in November and December 2019.
